The Putnam County Development Authority has transformed its annual dinner into a fundraising event, attracting 300 guests.

Tenney said the Putnam County Development Authority has been instrumental in driving economic growth by creating jobs, workforce initiatives, increasing the tax base and facilitating development. She said the development authority has also rolled out a strategic plan focusing on business, property, talent and housing development.

人妖色情片淲e rolled out a strategic plan this year from economic development consultants, and they identified that there人妖色情片檚 four areas we really need to be focusing on,人妖色情片� she said. 人妖色情片淪o Putnam County Development Authority is developing businesses, we人妖色情片檙e developing properties, we人妖色情片檙e developing workers or talent and we人妖色情片檙e developing housing, which is new for us, and we人妖色情片檝e realized that if we develop all four of those, we are ultimately developing Putnam County.人妖色情片�

Tenney told guests about a new initiative called 人妖色情片淗ometown Advantage,人妖色情片� which includes a career fair and a campaign to highlight in-demand regional careers.

人妖色情片淲e are starting to grade and do site work with the Putnam Career and Technical Center人妖色情片檚 heavy diesel class at our Putnam business park in Fraziers Bottom,人妖色情片� Tenney said. 人妖色情片淲e人妖色情片檙e also starting a collaborative event and we人妖色情片檙e going to have a public community free career fair on Oct. 24, where any employer that is actively hiring can set up for free at the Putnam Career and Technical Center, and any job seeker can come for free.人妖色情片�

Tenney said the goal is to identify in-demand careers in the region.

人妖色情片淲e人妖色情片檙e going to package them and communicate them,人妖色情片� she said. 人妖色情片淏ecause what we人妖色情片檝e realized is that we don人妖色情片檛 have an opportunity problem. We have a communication problem, and our students think they have to leave the state in order to have a good-paying career, but they don人妖色情片檛. So once a month, we人妖色情片檙e going to post an in-demand career that is in our region, along with where could they work here, and what type of skills would they need in order to fulfill that career.人妖色情片�

The event also included annual awards for Community Development of the Year to the Putnam Career and Technical Center and Volunteer of the Year to the center人妖色情片檚 principal, C.D. Caldwell.
