PORTSMOUTH, Ohio ÈËÑýÉ«ÇéƬ” A Portsmouth man was arrested over the weekend for charges related to the shooting of a sheriffÈËÑýÉ«ÇéƬ™s deputy, according to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman.

Michael Bishop, 39, of Liberty Avenue, Portsmouth, was charged with attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, three counts of having weapons while under disability (being a felon with a gun) tampering with evidence, inducing panic and obstruction of official business, Thoroughman said.
